Job summary

Clutch is hiring a Retail Advisor for our Bayshore Mall location in Ottawa. You will greet customers, support the online-to-in-store car buying experience, and ensure a smooth completion of the car pickup or sale.

Your role centers on delivering a high-touch customer experience in a fast-paced retail setting. You should bring 2+ years in customer-facing roles and a passion for cars, with a valid Ontario G license and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years in the automotive industry is an asset.
• 2+ years of customer-facing experience.
• Clean driving record with a valid Ontario G license.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Availability: minimum 40 hours per week with a 4 weekday + 1 weekend schedule.
• Willing to obtain an OMVIC license with company support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a uniquely engaging customer experience at the Bayshore Mall location.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address customer needs and issues.
• Inspect vehicles for cosmetic and mechanical condition to ensure quality service.
• Complete customer paperwork accurately and record notes in the tracking system.
• Collaborate with team members to support daily operations.

About the role:

We are on a mission to build a world-class team that drives innovation, growth, and excellence. As we scale rapidly, we are looking for a Retail Advisor to be the face of our company at our first retail location in Bayshore Mall, Ottawa! Since our entire car-buying process is online, you’ll be the first Clutch employee our customers meet when they pick up or sell their vehicle. You'll have the freedom to go above and beyond to make sure every customer has a great, unique experience in this dynamic customer and transportation role.

What you’ll do:

• Delivering a uniquely special experience to each and every one of our customers.
• A major part of this job is having exceptional customer service skills, where you’ll be the face of the company in addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction at every touchpoint throughout their appointment.
• Need a sharp eye for detail as you inspect vehicles, carefully assessing both cosmetic and mechanical aspects to identify potential issues, ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to our customers.
• You will be accurately and efficiently completing customer paperwork as well as taking thorough notes in our customer tracking system inside our new facility!
• You’ll also be a team player by assisting other team members with various tasks as necessary.

What we’re looking for:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
• 1+ years experience in the automotive industry an asset
• 2+ years of customer-facing experience
• Comfortable driving longer distances.
• Have automotive experience and a passion for cars & comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• License: A G Drivers License (valid in Ontario)
• Driving Record: 3 years of clean driver’s abstract with no major infractions.
• Background Check: Clean criminal background check.
• Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Availability: Minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed. There is a 4 weekday plus 1 weekend date working schedule

• Valid OMVIC License: Don’t have one yet? No problem! We’ll help you obtain your OMVIC license as one of the perks of working with us.
• A passion for cars and the automotive industry
• Experience with warranty products so that you can answer any question that arise during the process

Compensation & Benefits:

• Wage: $24 per hour
