An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Restorative Justice Pre-Charge Worker to join their team under a one-year contract. This role involves implementing and reporting on a vital initiative aimed at fostering community engagement and understanding. Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation is presently recruiting for a

RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PRE-CHARGE WORKER

(External Posting – 1yr Contract)

Under the Restorative Justice Initiative, the Pre-Charge Worker will be responsible for delivering and reporting on the implementation and progress of the initiative in the target communities funded under the project.

Qualifications:

• This position requires at a minimum a secondary school diploma with related workexperience.

• This individual should have great public speaking skills as they will be presentinginformation to stakeholders within their designated communities.

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.

• The Restorative Justice Pre-Charge Worker should have some experience orunderstanding of Restorative Justice and be able to discuss the pre-charge program withindividuals in a law related capacity.

• Experience working with NAN and in First Nation Communities

• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

• Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Software, internet, and general officeequipment

• Ability to speak Cree, Oji-Cree, or Ojibway an asset.

Hours: Full Time – Contract (35 Hours Per Week)

Salary: $50,140 Annually
