Job summary

A&W Canada is seeking a capable Restaurant Manager/Assistant Manager to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced setting. You will oversee daily operations, ensure food safety, and drive guest satisfaction while upholding brand standards.

You will coach staff, monitor labour and food costs, hire and retain talent, manage inventory, and work with the team to meet service targets. This role offers a community-focused atmosphere with opportunities to advance within a growing franchise.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to coach and develop staff to deliver excellent guest service.
• Understanding of labour and food cost controls and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff to achieve restaurant targets and standards.
• Monitor and control labour and food costs.
• Work as a team with co-workers to achieve service times.
• Coach staff to provide excellent customer service aligned with the A&W brand.
• Spend time on the floor supporting employees during shifts.
• Ensure all food safety regulations are followed.
• Hire, retain, and terminate employees as needed.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Perform other day-to-day operational duties of a fast food restaurant.
