Job summary

Eataly in Toronto is seeking a Table Support Team Member to ensure a high-quality dining experience through timely delivery of meals and meticulous table upkeep.

You will greet guests, deliver meals and beverages, clear tables, and assist servers while expanding knowledge of our Italian offerings. This onsite role requires flexibility and physical stamina, with CAD 17.60 hourly plus tips.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in assigned area; pour beverage as requested; serve bread and olive oil.
• Run food from kitchen to guest tables after ensuring each course is complete and accurate.
• Run beverage from bar to guest tables and keep water glasses filled.
• Remove used dishes and silverware between courses and after guests leave.
• Maintain cleanliness of all tables and chairs and reset vacated tables.
• Assist servers and understand menu descriptions and ingredients.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Job Description

A Table Support Team Member is responsible for creating a high-quality dining experience in Eataly’s restaurants through timely and accurate delivery of meals as well as the organization and cleaning of tables. Reports to the Restaurant Floor Managers and Assistant General Manager.

• Greets guests in assigned area; pours beverage as requested; serves bread and olive oil
• Runs food from kitchen to guest tables after ensuring each course to be delivered is complete and accurate
• Runs beverage from bar to guest tables and makes sure water glasses remain filled
• Removes used dishes and silverware from guest tables between courses and after guests leave the table
• Maintains cleanliness of all tables and chairs in assigned service area and resets vacated tables
• Assists servers when needed and understands food descriptions and ingredients of menu items
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $17.60 hourly, plus tips
