Job Details
Location: St. John’s, NL
Workplace Information: On site
Salary: $15.80 hourly / 35 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent full-time
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Morning
Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

Education
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience.

Experience
1 year to less than 2 years.

Work Setting
Restaurant
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

  1. Establish methods to meet work schedules.
  2. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  3. Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  4. Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
  5. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  6. Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
  7. Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  8. Prepare and submit reports.
  9. Prepare food order summaries for chef.
  10. Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres.
  11. Supervise and check assembly of trays.
  12. Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.
  13. Establish work schedules.
