Akari Japanese Restaurant is seeking a qualified Restaurant Manager to join our team.

Number of Positions: 1

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hourly Wage: C$34.65

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation per year or 4% of gross salary for vacation pay

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food service sector, including experience in a supervisory role, is required.
• Serving-it-Right certificate is required.
• Language of Work: English

Job Duties:

• Oversee daily shift operations and ensure customer service excellence and the restaurant’s profits
• Manage, train and support the team, fostering a professional work environment
• Monitor work flow and staff performance
• Implement company policies and operational procedures
• Manage inventory, order supplies and minimize waste
• Assist in recruiting and scheduling, and maintain strong collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
• Ensure staff compliance with service standards, policies, and health and safety regulations
• Address and resolve any customer concerns professionally
