Job description

Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Tasks

  1. Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
  2. Monitor staff performance
  3. Conduct performance reviews
  4. Organize and maintain inventory
  5. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  6. Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  7. Address customers' complaints or concerns
  8. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
  9. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  10. Plan and control budget and inventory
  11. Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  12. Inspect products and processing methods; prepare reports and ensure that regulations governing health, quality and safety are followed
  13. Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff
