Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house and back-of-house operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, committed to excellence, and experienced in all aspects of restaurant management. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in a small, tight-knit team and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness
  • Recruit, train, and manage staff; create schedules and manage labour costs
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally
  • Maintain health and safety standards and ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Collaborate with ownership on promotions, menu planning, and special events
  • Manage budgets and financial records; track sales and profitability
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or other food or beverage service
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Recruit staff and oversee staff training
  • Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a supervisor role in food service
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic financial reporting
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
