We are seeking an innovative and adaptable Restaurant General Manager to lead our dynamic establishment, which offers both fine dining and a vibrant club/pub atmosphere that welcomes families during the day. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the role, driving engagement and reaching targets while managing effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and Manage: Drive customer engagement and achieve business targets.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Provide superb customer service, investigate complaints, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Social Media and Marketing: Utilize strong social media and marketing skills to enhance our online presence and marketing efforts.
  • Process Improvements and Event Planning: Implement process improvements and plan engaging events.

  • Staff Training and Development: Train, develop, and motivate staff to ensure high performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations across both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH), ensuring seamless service from opening (11:00 AM) through to close (typically midnight–2:00 AM).
  • Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and supply ordering to maintain consistent stock levels and product quality.
  • Collaborate with accounting, human resources, and senior leadership to align on financial and operational goals.
  • Lead recruitment, training, scheduling, and ongoing development of FOH and BOH team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Monitor food, beverage, cleanliness, and service standards, making adjustments as needed to uphold quality.
  • Manage labor, food, and beverage costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Represent the establishment at industry events to stay current on trends and best practices.
  • Oversee brand presence and engagement across social media platforms, ensuring timely responses and consistent messaging.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns or escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a high-volume food and beverage environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage both kitchen and front-of-house operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost control, and seasonal scheduling.
  • Smart Serve certification and a thorough understanding of Ontario liquor laws and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night hours.
  • A genuine appreciation for Irish culture and hospitality is a strong asset.
