Job description

Join Ecolab’s sales team as a Restaurant Equipment Service Technician, covering Niagara and the surrounding areas. This opportunity is within our industry-leading Institutional division, which offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the foodservice and hospitality industries.

After completing an initial training program, you will work with a variety of restaurants, hotels, schools, and long-term care facilities. You will serve as the face of Ecolab by installing, servicing, and maintaining ware washing, laundry, and dispensing systems that drive a positive guest experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments.

What You Will Do :
  • Apply mechanical skills to install, repair, and maintain ware washing, laundry, and dispensing equipment; enhancing customer relationships
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain various commercial kitchen and laundry appliances
  • Demonstrate safe equipment use and ensure facilities are operational and staff are trained
  • Manage parts inventory, usage, and costs; complete service reports
Minimum Qualifications :
  • High School Diploma or GED; post-secondary education preferred
  • At least 2 years of mechanical problem-solving experience (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule and travel for training/meetings
  • Valid driver’s license and good Motor Vehicle Record
Territory Coverage :

Niagara and surrounding areas

Weekend Coverage :

Required approximately every 5 weekends, schedule to be determined

Physical Demands :
  • Lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Bending, stretching, twisting up to 50% of the time
  • Reaching at and above shoulder level during installations
  • Crouching, kneeling, crawling about 30% of the time
  • Repetitive movements and manual dexterity up to 50%
  • Use of power and hand tools up to 50%
