This is a HYBRID position which requires 3 days per week onsite in our Toronto or Montreal office.
The Product Marketing Manager is part of the International Product Marketing team supporting International Distribution (ex-U.S. domestic); this includes Canada, Americas Offshore, EMEA and APAC lines of business (Retail and Institutional). The International Product Marketing team is responsible for creating compelling product stories and content that bring to life our product offerings in a way that engages clients to take action to invest or to remain invested in our products. They act as the product champion and subject matter expert throughout the organization.
Leads product marketing responsibility for a specific strategy / asset class under our UCITS Offshore product range and Local Market Products (Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and the U.K.).
Develops the suite of support across the client journey (prospecting to servicing) and client types (investor, advisor, institutional).
Develops and refreshes the product story, ensuring it is timely and relevant for the various client types and various markets.
Liaises with different internal groups, at all levels, including sales/marketing, client service, management, legal, compliance, data, web, e-mail, and graphics to bring the product story to life.
Works with content and integrated teams to coordinate support of marketing campaigns on a product including; email, thought leadership, advertising, social etc.
Actively seeks to drive business results by identifying opportunities to enhance/strengthen our marketing materials and messaging.
Leads the requirements and development of all marketing aspects associated with new product launches, working closely with cross-functional resources like product management, product development, web operations, creative services, etc. to ensure a well-orchestrated and impactful launch for the sales team and our clients.
Suggests ways to improve processes, procedures, and marketing collateral to improve time to market, boost efficiency and increase impact.
Stays on top of competitive positioning of assigned products and asset class(es).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
4 - 6 years’ experience in the investment industry in product marketing/management related role essential
Solid understanding of financial services - mutual funds, ETFs, SMA's and asset management across global markets
Proficiency in English – verbal and written – French, Spanish, and other languages will be an asset
An understanding of economic and financial concepts, capital markets, and economic trends essential
Ability to understand and incorporate detailed project requirements and instructions into finished product, and to work with minimal supervision
Highly organized – organizes work and due dates to structure time effectively
Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to transition to/from different initiatives and projects as opportunities and risks emerge throughout various markets
Creative thinker who can turn concepts into compelling messaging for various audiences
Strong attention to detail – to check work of self and others to ensure accuracy of the end product
Strong presentation (PowerPoint) skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
