Job summary

COGIR Real Estate seeks a Care Manager to plan, direct and oversee resident care and well-being in a private seniors’ residence. You will ensure compliance with professional standards and the regulations governing certification of private seniors’ homes in your sector, with a full-time day schedule.

You will collaborate with physicians, CLSC, CISSS/CIUSSS, families and care teams, providing nursing care, supporting residents, and responding to emergencies while upholding ethics and quality

Qualifications

• Degree in nursing (DEC) or DEP in healthcare assistance.
• 3–5 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in administration.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Member of the OIIQ.

Responsibilities

• Act as an intermediary for physicians, pharmacists, CLSC, CISSS/CIUSSS, and others.
• Maintain relationships with residents’ family and stakeholders.
• Proactively assist and support residents.
• Adhere to standards and legislation for private seniors’ home certification and code of ethics.
• Provide nursing care and treatments to maintain and restore residents’ health and prevent illness.
• Respond to all emergency situations.

Purpose of the position

The Care Manager plans, directs, and oversees all activities related to resident care and well-being. They ensure compliance with professional standards and the regulations governing the certification of private seniors' residences in their sector.Schedule: Full-time, day shift.

Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :

• Act as an intermediary for various external stakeholders (physicians, pharmacists, CLSC, CISSS/CIUSSS, etc.)
• Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
• Proactively assist and support the residents
• Adhere to standards and legislation in accordance with private seniors' home certification and the code of ethics
• Provide a range of nursing care and treatments in order to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
• Respond to all emergency situations

Required qualifications :

• Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing

• Member of the OIIAQ
