The Opportunity
Join our dynamic team at Hitachi Energy as a Tendering Manager! In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the entire Inquiry to Order (ITO) process for Instrument Transformers, Capacitors and Filters, Disconnect Switches, and Surge Arresters. You'll be the driving force behind our bid and proposal stages, ensuring timely and accurate price setting to expedite decision-making. Your expertise will be crucial in coordinating cross-factory and cross-hub tenders, managing workloads, and delivering technically and commercially viable offers to our customers. This is your chance to lead, train, and coach a talented team both in the US, Canada and overseas, all while contributing to the growth and success of our business line.
How You'll Make an Impact
Develop and optimize tendering resources and processes.
Manage tendering workloads and coordinate with Area Sales Managers.
Submit complete technical, commercial, and financial offers.
Maintain and update pricing strategies, price lists, and configurator tools.
Track and improve quotation quality and cost of poor quality.
Lead risk review processes and strategic bid approvals.
Support Sales & Operations Planning meetings to maximize factory load and profitability.
Oversee factory margins and pricing profitability.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in Marketing and Sales, B2B, Energy Sector, or similar.
Strong product marketing and sales skills; experience in operations and manufacturing is a plus.
Highly organized with a focus on KPIs and continuous improvement.
Experience in supervision and coordination.
Language : English and French (asset).
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
