Serenity Respite, Inc. is hiring a Support Worker/ Caregiver/ Respite in Alberta. Casual evening and weekend shifts available to provide respite care, daily support, and companionship.

You will follow each client’s care plan, assist with meals, mobility, and safe environments, and report changes to families and supervisors. Valid certifications and a reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifikationen

• Valid First Aid certification.
• Recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
• CFS Intervention Check completed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Aufgaben

• Provide respite care and daily support to clients.
• Follow each client’s care plan and update families.
• Administer medications as directed by care plans.
• Prepare meals meeting dietary needs and assist with transfers.
• Support mobility and provide safe, tidy environments.
• Offer companionship and plan age-appropriate activities.
• Record changes in health or behaviour and communicate promptly.

Duties vary depending on each client’s needs.

• Provide respite care and daily support.
• Follow each client’s care plan.
• Administer medication as directed.
• Prepare meals that meet dietary needs.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Support G-tube care when required.
• Offer companionship and encouragement.
• Plan fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Community outings
• Encourage independence and confidence.
• Provide attentive supervision.
• Keep the client’s environment safe and tidy.
• Share important updates with families.
• Report changes in health or behaviour.
• Respect each client’s privacy and dignity.
• Physical ability to lift and assist with mobility, as required

Requirements:
