Job summary

Serenity Respite, Inc. in Grande Prairie is seeking a casual Support Worker to provide compassionate care for children and young adults aged 2-17, with evening and weekend shifts.

You will deliver respite support, assist with daily activities, prepare meals, help with mobility and transfers, and offer companionship with engaging activities while maintaining strict confidentiality and safety. Requirements include First Aid, a recent Vulnerable Sector Check, a valid driver’s license, and reliable

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience or related home care work.
• Familiarity with medication procedures and safety.
• Physically able to lift and assist clients as needed.
• Excellent communication and a compassionate attitude.
• Commitment to client confidentiality and respectful care.

Responsibilities

• Provide respite care and assist with daily activities for children and youth.
• Administer medications as instructed and monitor for safety.
• Prepare meals that meet dietary needs and restrictions.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and G-tubes as required.
• Offer companionship and plan engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean living environment.
