Job summary

Northumberland Hills Hospital seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver frontline patient care across ICU, ED, L&D, and acute care areas while supporting education for staff and patients. • Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families and all levels of the community
• Required to work weekends & all other shifts

Responsibilities

LOCATION

Located approximately 100 kilometres east of Toronto, NHH delivers a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services. ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Manager of ICU & Respiratory Therapy, the Registered Respiratory Therapist provides therapeutic procedures and diagnostics within their professional scope of practice as outlined by the CRTO. The Respiratory Therapist provides front line patient care in all clinical areas, as well as education to staff and patients while also providing routine maintenance of equipment utilized in their respective fields of practice. RRT’s at NHH operate in a 2 staff team model to cover all clinical areas allowing for complete scope of practice use including our Level 2 ICU.

Primary responsibilities include:

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Successful applicants are required provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, that was complete less than one year from the date of hire. This requirement must be met within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
