A regional health authority in Metro Vancouver seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join its CORE clinical team. The successful candidate will perform essential diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory therapy, contribute to quality improvements, and provide in-depth patient care. The salary range for this position is CAD $37.89 - $47.31 / hour

The successful candidate, under the direction of the Director/Manager-BC Biocontainment (BC BTC), joins the CORE clinical team of the BC BTC Team and trains for specialty clinical services that support the BC Biocontainment Treatment and Training Center. The BC BTC program exists to maintain a state of readiness to care for patients with emerging high consequence infectious diseases (HCID) and new emerging pathogens.

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory therapy: assists with in-service education and provides input into program development.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level C. Possession of and maintained Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
