Successful external applicants are eligible for a one-time Signing Bonus of $10,000 and may be required to fulfill a 2-year Return of Service. They may also qualify for relocation assistance up to $5,000.

The Opportunity

Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) are skilled healthcare professionals providing specialized care to patients from neonatal to adult with respiratory or cardiorespiratory illnesses. They work across care areas, providing advanced life-sustaining treatments in a family-centered approach.

Hours of Work

Rotating shifts, 11.25 hours, as per self-scheduling guidelines.

Your Qualifications

• Registered or eligible with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists (NSCRT), with completion of a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada BLS program, and graduation from a Respiratory Therapy program.
• NRP, PALS, and ACLS certification within the last 12 months or current enrollment.
• Clinical and technical competence in Neonatal/Pediatric/Adult settings.
• Organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with computer applications.
• Commitment to staying current with therapeutic and technological advances in respiratory care.
• Additional language skills are assets.
