Job Description:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist specializes in the delivery of evidence-based cardio-respiratory interventions. Their practice is based on an in-depth knowledge of critical care gained through education and clinical experience. They work with inter-professional teams in the ICU, Emergency, Medicine Units, Labor and Delivery and NICU settings to advance their practices, improve patient outcomes and provide clinical expertise to effect system-wide changes to improve program of care. They will monitor and manage metrics designed at improving THP standards of practice and care – to help pioneer and bring THP to the forefront of cutting edge Respiratory Therapy care in Canada. They will work both autonomously and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals holding influence over three main domains: safe patient care, excellence in practice and the healthcare system.
