The Chinook Regional Hospital houses a 20-bed ICU, 16-bed level 2+ NICU, 11-bed Pediatric unit, level 3 trauma center, an active OR & multiple medical and surgical inpatient units. As a Respiratory Therapist I at CRH, you will work to the full scope of practice providing respiratory care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to assist in the diagnosis and management of patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary & related disorders. You will actively participate in the education of patients, students, & colleagues; contribute to quality improvement; maintain a professional & accountable practice; advocate professionally & effectively for patients using patient & family-centered care principles & provide technical support for all Respiratory Therapy equipment. Acute care RTs at CRH are required to cover all areas that Respiratory Services supports. The current rotation includes 50% night and day shifts.
Description:
As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, residents), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans, and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist healthcare providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment, as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment, and treatments.
