Job summary

Nova Scotia Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for Aberdeen Hospital in the Northern Zone. This permanent part-time role (30 hours biweekly) requires patient assessments, treatment plans, and collaboration with the Respiratory Therapy team under the CSRT scope of practice.

The successful candidate will hold accredited Respiratory Therapy education, current registration in Nova Scotia, and ACLS/NRP or willingness to obtain, with BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current registration with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Respiratory Therapy.
• ACLS and NRP certification or willingness to obtain.
• Current Heart & Stroke BCLS (Level C) Certification required.
• CSRT membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and implement respiratory therapy plans.
• Evaluate progress and adapt treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively within the Respiratory Therapy team and with patients.
