Job summary

Lakeland Respiratory in Vegreville, AB is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to educate clients, initiate oxygen therapy, perform assessments, and manage equipment.

You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop treatment plans, deliver supplies, document care, and provide follow-up support to patients.

This role requires strong cardio-respiratory skills, proficiency with healthcare software, and the ability to participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with provincial license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform cardio-respiratory assessments.
• Experience in healthcare is an asset; on-call rotation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Conducting full respiratory assessments
• Assessing and evaluating patient test results
• Delivering of equipment and supplies
• Determining respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and care teams
• Identifying discrepancies with respiratory therapy treatments and conveying them to the care team
• Ensuring the completion of all documentation to initiate therapy
• Providing follow-up to clients to evaluate effects of treatment plan
• Preparing funding documents and facilitating payment
• Educating patients on usage of products and services
• Contributing to the growth by liaising with medical professionals

Lakeland Respiratory, is currently recruiting a full-time highly energetic and motivated Respiratory Therapist for our Vegreville, AB location. Educating and providing quality healthcare services to our clients by initiating Oxygen therapy, performing assessments, educating clients in the use and knowledge of equipment, and conducting follow-up service.

• Conducting full respiratory assessments

• Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills
• Previous experience in healthcare field an asset
• Ability to participate in a rotational after-hours on call schedule
• Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications and Android
