A healthcare provider in Terrace is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join its Respiratory Services department. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a recognized program and current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists. Responsibilities include providing direct care to clients with cardio-respiratory conditions, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and promoting continuous improvement in respiratory practice. Position Summary
Are you a Respiratory Therapist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Respiratory Services department.
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Respiratory Therapist practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as outlined by the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) as well as within a client and family-centered care model. Performs ongoing respiratory care in a multi-disciplinary setting to clients with a variety of illnesses/diseases including, but not limited to, acute and/or chronic cardio-respiratory illnesses or pathologies by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Enhances quality of life from the perspective of the client/family. Consults, confers, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals. Demonstrates continuous improvement and best practice approaches in respiratory practice. Maintains and advances own clinical competence. Participates on committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, Nights - 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, Rotating
Ksyen Regional Hospital
The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. More than double the size of the previous hospital, the facility features 82 beds, private rooms, and is a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.
Terrace
The thriving community of Terrace is northern living at its best. Snow-capped mountains, pristine glacier-fed rivers, lakes, and streams all add to the beauty of this community. The main industries in Terrace are communications, transportation, and natural resources. The population is approximately 12,700.
