This Resource Nurse (RN) will focus on providing care and ensuring that the health and safety of all clients are met. Reporting to the Regional Director, Operations, the Resource Nurse (RN) will support communities within the local market to offer nursing support as needed at communities where there is a staffing need. This Resource Nurse (RN) will assist the Wellness Director with planning, coordinating, and managing the home care service and act within the State Regulations and Sonida Policies and Procedures. This RN is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and monitoring of care service delivery under the direction of the Wellness Director.

  • Ideal candidate will be located in or near southern Ohio.

Resource Nurse RN Position Responsibilities :

  • Works to ensure the facility complies with federal, state, and local standards and regulations. Is available for license surveys.
  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality of clients, their records, and living environments.
  • Willing to carry a cell phone and be available for staffing and notifications.
  • Administers medications to residents as prescribed by physicians.
  • Ensures clients meet residency requirements, monitors, and recommends alternative placements if necessary. Assists care staff as needed.
  • Monitors and maintains client charts and nursing notes. Communicates and documents client data to staff as needed.
  • Communicates to physicians any changes in client’s needs or conditions.
  • Manages medication orders, renewals, and follow-ups with physicians.
  • Maintains client files and necessary documentation.
  • Ensures clients live safely in their units, monitors, and recommends alternative care or services if necessary.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with staff, providing backup support as needed.
  • Maintains communication with clients, families, and staff.
  • Responds to client concerns or complaints.
  • Keeps Wellness Director informed of needs and issues.

Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Must be licensed with the State of Ohio as an RN, with current and unencumbered licensure.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license if driving is required.
  • Ideal candidate will be located in southern Ohio.
  • Subject to completing TB test results.
  • Ability to understand and apply federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
  • Support and address needs for programs and services.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • This position requires travel at least 75% of the time, sometimes with limited notice.
