Resource Manager - Ready Set Go (RSG)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Resource Manager is a full-time, permanent position responsible for directing all team functions. The role involves supervising and coordinating staff efforts to meet service objectives and regulatory standards. The Resource Manager is a member of the Management Team.
RESPONSIBILITY: The Resource Manager reports to the Director of Services and performs duties under their supervision, including overseeing program functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Social Work Degree with at least three years of experience managing services for children and families or a comparable human service program. A combination of skills, education, and experience may be considered.
- Thorough knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act and Regulations, especially Part X relating to Customary Care of the First Nations.
- Thorough knowledge of Child Protection Standards in Ontario.
- Expertise in Customary Care, service development, community and family structures, and First Nation customs and traditions.
- Working knowledge of Kitapinoonjiiminaanik Family Services' structure, service delivery model, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Knowledge of the operations of Grand Council Treaty #3 and First Nations in the Kenora area, including tribal and external service agencies.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports on service delivery and procedures.
- Ability to influence and facilitate community and group decision-making processes through knowledge, ideas, and persuasion.
- Experience in designing, conducting, planning, and training workshops.
- Ability to establish and maintain purposeful relationships with clients, staff, organizations, and management.
- Strong commitment to serving Anishinaabe children and families, respecting their cultural and spiritual practices.
- Commitment to providing services within the Anishinaabe context of extended family and community involvement.
- Excellent supervisory, planning, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary Child Welfare team.
- Knowledge of group dynamics, consultation, and conflict resolution techniques.
- Understanding of human behavior theories and their application in assessment and planning.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to follow policies, procedures, and work within the agency's mission, philosophy, and core values.
- Ability to exercise authority appropriately.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varying hours as determined by the Director of Services.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and willingness to travel.
- Provision of a clear Criminal Records Check and Driver's Abstract.
- Ability to speak Ojibway is preferred and considered an asset.
