The Workforce Optimization (Resource Management) team is an integral part of KPMG’s National Audit Operations Team, deploying programs focused on centralization, standardization, and automation to support audit engagement teams in performing effective and efficient audits. Workforce Optimization aims to standardize and optimize resources for our firm, our audit clients, and our people.

The Workforce Optimization Technology Manager plays a key role supporting business application tools related to resource management, accreditation, Audit Quality Controls, capacity management, and key metrics. This involves collaboration with IT professionals, the Department of Professional Practice, end-users, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal utilization of Workforce Management tools.

This highly visible role requires technical acumen and leadership skills to drive the execution of current and new tools. Creativity, questioning, and challenging the status quo are essential qualities for success.

What You Will Do
  • Build reports integrating tools like eQualify, GLMS, Retain, and CEAC for Workforce Optimization
  • Coordinate and develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enhancements or new tools
  • Act as the primary liaison between end-users, IT support, the Department of Professional Practice, other member firms, and project teams
  • Analyze current business processes and data flows, recommending improvements
  • Ensure control compliance while updating procedures and documentation
  • Participate in system implementations, analyzing requirements, and making recommendations
  • Maintain Audit Workforce Tools, review statements of work, service level agreements, log issues, and follow up on outcomes
  • Identify pain points, improve processes, and support documentation
  • Provide first-level support for Workforce Tools, escalate issues, and follow up
  • Administer applications, manage access, permissions, reporting, and analytics
  • Provide feedback and prioritize enhancement requests to IT
  • Solve complex technical problems and recommend solutions
  • Collaborate with RPA team for process development and enhancements
  • Build strong relationships and communicate proactively across teams
  • Assist with report development and execution using PowerBI

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is $73,000 to $109,500, potentially supplemented by bonuses. Salary offers depend on location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
