Job summary

BC Hydro in Burnaby, British Columbia, is seeking a skilled Scheduling professional to manage resource-loaded cost schedules for capital and OMA projects. You will collaborate with Work Package Managers and Project Managers to shape activities, resources, and relationships, ensuring alignment with QA standards and EAR/SOO objectives.

Responsibilities include decomposing work packages into detailed activities, loading costs, and reconciling with SAP, Primavera P6, and project records.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field such as Business, Engineering, Science; plus four (4) years of related project delivery experience in a similar environment where two (2) years of scheduling experience has been gained.
• Diploma of Technology in a related field such as Business, Engineering, Science; plus five (5) years of related project delivery experience in a similar environment where two (2) years of scheduling experience has been gained.
• A professional designation in project management or scheduling (such as PMP, PMI-SP or AACE PSP) considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains resource-loaded schedules for interrelated work packages for assigned capital and OMA projects.
• Loads network activities with labour, materials and equipment costs and synchronizes with SAP.
• Performs monthly activity progressions against performance measurements and investigates variances.
• Generates reports and summaries from resource-loaded scheduling tools for PMs/WPMs.
• Provides technical guidance on scheduling tools and participates in upgrades affecting scheduling practices.
