Position Details

The University of Lethbridge is seeking a full-time, continuing role as a Resource Analyst in the Financial Services department. This position will be reporting to the Director of Resource Planning.

This Role Will

  • Be responsible for monitoring of the Universities operating budget (primarily salary and benefits) for variance between planned and actual revenue and expenditures.
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations, processing and approving account transactions, data analysis, financial/fees and budget reporting support, and various other projects as they arise.
  • Ensure there are strong internal controls in place to mitigate budgetary risks.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Position Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A University Management degree with a minimum of two years related work experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office, including a strong working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Experience working in a post- secondary institution and with budgets would be considered an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, both strong organizational and communication skills as well as a proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines.
