Qualifications

Comment vous aurez un impact

Responsible for the investigation, evaluation, disposition and settlement of claims. In this position, you will be handling any of the following types of losses: General liability claims, Product liability claims, First party property damage, Auto, TP auto claims.

Successful candidates will have:

  1. Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
  2. Analytical skills necessary to make decisions and resolve issues inherent in the handling of claims.
  3. Ability to successfully negotiate the settlement and disposition of claims including the ability to interpret related documentation.
  4. Strong coverage skills, ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment.
  5. Time management skills.
  6. Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated by your ability to convey professionalism in both French and English.
  8. Handles claims consistent with our clients and corporate policies, procedures and “Best Practices” and in accordance to any statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.
  9. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs, like Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  10. Exceptional customer service skills required.

Au propos de vous

Required:

  1. High school diploma and 3 years related claims experience required.
  2. Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled or able to obtain the licenses/certification per local requirements.
  3. Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
  4. Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Preferred:

  1. College/University degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  2. Claims experience varies pending roles.
  3. Experience working in a commercial lines claims environment would be an asset.
  4. Must be fully licensed in Quebec and/or certified in provinces in which claims are being handled. Commercial license.
