Job summary

The Byng Group is seeking experienced tiling and ceramics subcontractors for ongoing residential renovation projects in Port Elgin, Ontario, and surrounding areas. You will perform tile installation, surface preparation, waterproofing, grouting, and finishing work to high standards.

Requirements include a registered Ontario business, valid WSIB clearance, general liability insurance, own tools, reliable transportation, and a minimum of two years of residential tile experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of residential tile installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems and tile standards.
• Own tools, equipment, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Installation of ceramic, porcelain, and tile flooring.
• Tile installation for tub surrounds, showers, and backsplashes.
• Surface preparation (substrate prep, waterproofing, leveling as required).
• Grouting, sealing, and finishing work.
• Repairs or replacement of existing tile as needed
• Set pricing provided per scope of work
• Most materials supplied by us (tile, thinset, grout, and standard materials)
• Maintaining a clean and safe job site
• Professional communication with clients and project managers
