An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide essential counselling support for clients in community residential facilities. This role is vital for assisting federally sentenced adult males in their reintegration journey, ensuring public safety and promoting productive lives. With a focus on collaboration with Correctional Services, you will help address client needs and stabilize their transition into the community. The role is to provide day-to-day counselling support to clients residing in JHST’s two (2) Community Residential Facilities (CRFs), otherwise known as Halfway Houses.
The Crossroads Program and Donald G. Evans Residence (DGER) are community residential facilities for federally sentenced adult males on supervised release from a federal institution. The paramount goal of these programs is to increase public safety by assisting with the successful reintegration of these clients.
Staff work in collaboration with Correctional Services Canada (CSC) to effectively manage risk by addressing “need areas” that assist clients’ stabilization in the community and lead to productive pro-social lives.
Full-Time: 41.25 Hours per week
Part-Time: Hours/Days may vary depending on the needs of the program. (including WEEKDAYS, WEEKENDS, STAT HOLIDAYS, OVERNIGHTS)
$20.43 per hour (Salary Grade 2); shift premiums apply for evenings, overnights, and weekends.
