Job summary

GardaWorld in Vancouver seeks a part-time Residential Security Guard to support residents and guests. You will manage access, monitor CCTV, perform patrols, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate holds a BC Security License, has 6 months of security experience, and can communicate clearly. This PT position offers evening shifts and GardaWorld benefits.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada with the right to work in British Columbia.
• Hold a valid BC Security License.
• Minimum 6 months of security guard experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong report writing and technology skills.
• Good eyesight and focus, able to stand and walk during shift.
• Alert, detail-oriented with strong situational awareness.
• Proficient in basic phone and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service: greetings, identification checks, guidance for visitors.
• Manage access control and monitor security systems.
• Conduct foot patrols and identify potential risks.
• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.

As a Residential Security Guard, you will serve as a key point of contact for residents, visitors, contractors, and deliveries while helping maintain the safety and security of the property. Through access control, CCTV monitoring, regular patrols, incident response, and visitor and parcel management, you will play an important role in protecting people and property. The ideal candidate is vigilant, approachable, and dedicated to providing both outstanding customer service and a secure living environment.
