We deliver the most accurate replacement cost valuation assessments and risk management reports in the industry. About the Role

Iv3 seeks experienced residential property field inspectors for its insurance inspection business. We need independent contractors in northern and central Ontario, including towns such as Gravenhurst, Muskoka, Barrie, Orillia, and Haliburton. As part of iv3's inspector network, you'll have the opportunity to serve leading insurance providers across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Possess experience in insurance (loss control, claims, brokerage, underwriting) or at least one year in related fields (sprinkler systems, boilers, construction, engineering, fire prevention, electrical work, etc.)
  • Hold professional designations such as CRM, CIP, FCIP, Infrared Level 1, or other relevant certifications
  • Experience with industry software like Commercial CoreLogic (BVS), Apex, Sketch-up, CAT, e2Value, Douglas Cost Guide is an asset
  • Provide customer-facing service with a professional appearance and communication skills
  • Be able to work independently, travel within assigned territories, and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Manage expectations, deadlines, and service level agreements effectively
  • Have necessary equipment, including a Windows-based laptop (Windows 11 or later), digital camera, laser and wheel measuring tools

Skills and Expertise

  • Respond promptly to inspection requests
  • Update progress and issues on the designated platform
  • Schedule site visits with insured clients at convenient times
  • Conduct on-site inspections, including building walkthroughs, exterior measurements, and sketching as needed
  • Document property features, materials, deficiencies, and building services with digital photos uploaded to iv3 platforms
  • Calculate replacement costs using recognized industry tools such as Core Logic
  • Prepare comprehensive final reports detailing the inspection findings, construction, occupancy, protection systems, exposures, and deficiencies
  • Meet client standards for turnaround times, report quality, and accuracy
