Residential Real Estate Clerk

Job description

Our client, a boutique law firm in Etobicoke, is seeking a full-time Real Estate Law Clerk with at least four years of relevant experience to join their dynamic and growing practice.

Your new role

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the law firm, handling administrative tasks and providing support to a team of law clerks. You will work closely with a seasoned lawyer who runs an efficient practice, ensuring seamless workflow and client service. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Drafting legal documents and correspondence
  2. Coordinating with clients
  3. Scheduling appointments
  4. Managing the delivery and receipt of closing documents and proceeds
  5. Preparing residential and commercial purchase, sale, and mortgage files
  6. Opening, managing, and closing files

What you will need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must have at least four years of experience and the ability to independently manage all aspects of basic residential real estate transactions while also supporting real estate lawyers with complex commercial transactions. Strong attention to detail, along with excellent proofreading and grammar skills, is essential. This role requires the ability to multitask, take initiative, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PC Law, and Unity/Conveyancer is required, with experience in Teraview considered an asset. The ideal candidate will have exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Fluency in a second language is highly valued within the firm.
