Responsibilities
- Abide by and demonstrate the company's Mission, Vision, and Values in daily behavior and job performance.
- Supervise assistance provided to persons served to promote their physical, social, and psychological well-being.
- Monitor staff adherence to safety, health care, and behavior support procedures to ensure a safe environment.
- Ensure proper documentation by staff to maintain quality services.
- Promote the rights of persons served and support staff interactions to enhance quality of life.
- Ensure Material Data Safety Sheets are available for all supplies and chemicals.
- Conduct performance reviews and maintain a supportive work environment.
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, and termination decisions.
- Manage staffing levels and schedules efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Oversee staff training, orientation, and documentation records.
- Provide feedback on staff documentation and ensure proper training on Material Data Safety Sheets.
- Serve as a role model, support staff development, and conduct counseling and corrective actions.
- Ensure OSHA compliance and related training.
- Support individualization of persons served through environment and activity planning.
- Implement systems for medical waste management and oversee Best in Class initiatives.
- Oversee implementation of service plans and audit systems.
- Monitor client rights, incident reports, and respond to emergencies.
- Participate in investigations and monitor budget and financial documentation.
- Maintain a safe work environment, report injuries, and manage claims.
Qualifications
- One year of supervisory experience required.
- Experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries preferred.
- Strong communication skills and flexibility to work various hours and shifts.
- Experience managing systems, processes, and personnel.
- Knowledge of regulations concerning services for individuals with acquired brain injuries.
- Proficiency with office equipment and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Social Science, or equivalent work experience in brain injury or disability services. Exceptions require approval.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
