Job summary

Skyline Group of Companies is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our residential properties in Guelph, Ontario. The role covers on-demand and preventative maintenance, ensuring safety and quality in common areas and units, with a rotating schedule including weekends and on-call availability.

You will inspect fire life safety systems, support suite turns, and work as part of a professional, reliable team dedicated to excellent service and living experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset and ability to build professional relationships with residents and teams.
• Hands-on maintenance, painting, cleaning and basic repairs across units and common areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly with clear notes and updates to the property team.
• Support suite turns by cleaning, repairing, and readying vacant units within required timelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas, stairwells, entrances, laundry, offices and exterior spaces.
• Complete routine inspections of emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and hallway lighting.
• Assist with seasonal property needs such as shovelling, salting and keeping walkways safe.
