Job description

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking an ambitious, hardworking and innovative candidate to fill a Residential Maintenance Technician opening for work at a client site in Oromocto, New Brunswick. This individual would be responsible for general home maintenance and repairs on occupied and vacant residential housing units (PMQs) for CFB Gagetown. They will work in a team environment that oversees the safe, secure and environmentally sound operations and maintenance of these assets in a cost-effective manner.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair work on residential units
  • Install, repair or replace siding, windows, and doors
  • Complete interior painting and crack filling as required
  • Identify and resolve minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues
  • Respond to service calls and complete work in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and residents when needed
  • Using technology to clearly document work performed
  • Adherence to and implementation of health, safety, quality control and environmental policies and programs
