Job summary

Agilus by Synergie in Halifax, NS is hiring several Residential Garbage Collectors to support our Waste Management team. You will ride on the rear platform of a garbage truck, assist with residential pickups, and help keep sites clean and safe.

We offer $18.00 per hour, weekly pay with 4% vacation pay, and the potential for permanent placement. Shifts are consistent, starting at 7:00 AM, with a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50-70 pounds repetitively.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must have own 8' CSA approved steel-toed boots, safety vest and gloves.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexible to perform other general labour tasks as required.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ride on the rear platform of a garbage collection truck and assist with residential waste pickup
• Ensure no waste is left behind at the pickup locations
• Monitor the area around the truck to keep operations safe for pedestrians and vehicles
• Collect, load, and dispose of waste materials safely and efficiently
• Assist with general labour duties as required
