We are seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy Residential Custom Project Manager to support the construction of a high-end, custom-built private residence that reports to our Co-CEO. This role will work closely with our Site Supervisor to coordinate trades, track progress, and manage all administrative aspects of the project. This is a critical support role ideal for someone who excels in project documentation, tender management, and residential construction workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the site supervisor to support day-to-day construction management.
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work for trades and service providers.
  • Review and compare tenders, track unawarded items, and assist in vendor selection.
  • Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors and monitor progress against project timelines.
  • Manage project tracking tools, Gantt charts, and task lists to ensure timely execution.
  • Verify and track completion of work on site; liaise with site team for updates.
  • Evaluate progress draws and assist in determining recommendation for payments.
  • Pre-approve invoices based on completed work and contract milestones.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of decisions, contracts, schedules, and site changes.
  • Assist in change management and ensure timely communication with vendors.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks or delays with proposed solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in custom home or residential construction project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Buildertrend, or similar), and other digital tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction scopes, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, especially when working with site teams and contractors.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Assets

  • PMP certification or construction project management training.
  • Experience with luxury or large custom homes.
  • Familiarity with construction accounting processes.
