Job summary

Enercare Inc. in Calgary, AB is seeking a Residential Boiler Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential boiler and hydronic heating systems. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service in homeowners’ environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Gas Fitter 1 or 2 license or Plumbing License is required.
• 5-10 years of experience with residential boilers is required.
• Journeyman Certification preferred.
• Must be able to operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Commitment to customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair residential boiler systems, including hydronic heating and radiant heating systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and seasonal tune-ups.
• Troubleshoot defective boiler and hydronic systems.
• Work with components such as pumps, valves, thermostats, expansion tanks, and zone controls.
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Boiler Safety Association (ABSA) regulations, local codes, and manufacturer specifications.
• Handle customer concerns, provide clear professional communication to homeowners regarding issues, repairs, and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and work orders.
• Respond to emergency service calls, including after-hours when required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and Alberta OHS standards.

Summary:
