Job summary

Sterling Homes Edmonton is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to design and draft plans for new homes, ensuring compliance with building codes and coordinating with engineers. You will maintain drawing sets and the standard model library while preparing site plans and building permit applications.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Architectural Technology with at least 3 years of residential drafting experience and is proficient in AutoCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Architectural Technology or related program required.
• Minimum of 3 years of drafting/design experience in residential construction.

Responsibilities

• Understand and ensure architectural and structural requirements, building codes and by-laws are followed.
• Review offers to purchase and amend change requests.
• Complete documentation packages, produce drawing sets, and maintain standard model plan library.
• Gather lot marketing, zoning and grading information, create site plans and apply for building permits.
• Prepare and submit drawings to engineering consultants for structural certification or building approvals.
