We are searching for a Resident Services Manager (LPN) to join our Parkland at the Lakes team based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

About The Opportunity

The Client Services Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery, management, and evaluation of care services to all residents living in our Licensed Assisted Living service line.

  • Provides clinical oversight, leadership and expertise to the care/service team by fostering and promoting best practices
  • Directs the regular health assessments of prospective and current residents to maintain quality of life in the appropriate lifestyle option.
  • Assists in the recruitment, orientation, training and professional development of team members
  • Provides leadership to and direct supervision of employees in the area of responsibility
  • Ensures compliance with organizations brand standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Responds to government inspection/investigation reports and maintains licensing standards
  • Promotes and leads a safety culture

About You

  • In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
  • LPN diploma; or equivalent
  • Current registration with provincial LPN regulatory body
  • You are passionate about working with seniors and have experience working with the elderly in a seniors’ living or long-term care environment
  • Minimum five (5) years nursing experience
  • Experience in a supervisory / leadership role
  • Current CPR & Emergency First Aid certification
  • Personal computer skills in the use of related software applications

Supplemental Qualifications Considered An Asset

  • Specialized courses such as: Foot Care, Palliative Care, Venipuncture
  • Alzheimer’s Disease and other Dementia Care Course
  • Back in Form Lift & Transfer Program
  • Previous supervisory / leadership experience in a health service or seniors living environment;
