There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join a Property Management team as a Resident Services Agent! This is a full-time position located in Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Resident Services Manager, the Resident Services Agent will support our rental office in the GTA, providing administrative and rental services for our residential property.

What you’ll be doing:

Administrative:

  • Attend to the ongoing rental of vacant suites:
  • Process suite rental applications
  • Complete credit checks and other reference checks
  • Complete and administer tenancy agreements

Co-ordinate move-in and move-out of residents, working with Maintenance staff on elevator scheduling, etc.

  • Conduct move-in/out inspections

Assist with regular inspections of the building and suites.

Provide positive customer relations to tenants, including handling repair requests and resident issues.

In the absence of the Resident Services Manager, perform supervisory and administrative duties delegated by the Manager.

Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for on-site visits.

Collect rent and other income, and process payments timely.

Assist with issuing late rent notices, eviction notices, and collections.

Attend Landlord Tenant Board hearings as necessary.

Process invoices, order goods/services, and maintain records.

Participate in fire and safety procedures.

Handle phone, email, filing, and other office duties.

Ensure contractor performance meets standards.

Maintain community information summaries and perform quarterly market reports.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of legislation such as Residential Tenancies Act, Human Rights Code, PIPEDA, Building and Fire Codes, Occupational Health and Safety
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi is an asset
  • Flexible, adaptable, positive attitude, eager to learn
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Clear criminal record and credit check
