Overview

Opportunity and Scope

Are you interested in an onsite live in Management position along with handyman experience? Hale Property Group is currently in a growth and expansion phase and would like to invite persons with experience in managing residential property operations in the real estate industry to join our management team. This opportunity also includes to be our live in onsite full time resident manager / handyman.

Responsibilities
  • Snaking toilets, drains, disposals
  • Assisting with Resident maintenance requests
  • Snow removal & Lawn Care
  • Organization and cleaning of maintenance/utility areas
  • Assistance with general upkeep of all properties
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry experience needed
  • Painting experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of appliance repair is a plus
  • Basic electrical experience is a plus
  • Personal tools are required but not essential
  • Occasionally emergencies after hours; must respond to and resolve these emergencies
Qualifications & Skills
  • Must have excellent communication (written & verbal), organizational, time management, and listening skills
  • Must be able to adapt and manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities
  • Above average problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Keen ability to recognize problems and create effective courses of action to solve issues
  • Previous maintenance experience required
Requirements
  • Must have a well-established working experience in the industry; able to manage residential properties with little supervision
  • Must be willing to relocate to Fort St James, BC
  • Experience in developing property operations team
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality of services delivered
  • Able to work effectively in high stress situations
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a reliable vehicle
  • Must successfully complete a security clearance and be bonded
  • Must have computer skills and internet access
