Job summary

Extendicare Canada Inc. is seeking a part-time Resident Program Aide to support resident recreation services in our long-term care setting. You will help plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic and diversional activities that promote wellbeing and engagement.

With 1–2 years in long-term care and a recreation-related qualification, you will collaborate with the Programs Manager to tailor activations to resident needs and ensure safe, inclusive programming across shifts.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Recreation with experience in a long term care setting.
  • OR Diploma in related field with completion of a course in adapted programming and experience in long term care.
  • Proficient reading, writing and communication in English; strong computer literacy (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of resident programming.
  • Development and implementation of therapeutic and diversional activities.
  • Planning, implementation and evaluation of programs.
  • Documentation of resident activities and outcomes.
  • Participation in resident care and collaboration with the Programs Manager.
