Job description

We’re growing! We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic candidate to join our team as a Resident Manager in Halifax, NS. This is an ideal full-time, live-in opportunity.

Duties include:
  1. Managing apartment buildings through rent collection.
  2. Handling expense management.
  3. Providing strong office administration and customer service.
  4. Overseeing maintenance and cleaning.
  5. Conducting and/or supervising all on-site activities in accordance with Skyline's specifications and all applicable legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Residential Tenancies Act, and the Human Rights Code.
Qualifications:
  1. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.
  2. Good maintenance and cleaning skills.
  3. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  4. Knowledge of repair and maintenance of HVAC systems.
  5. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to multi-task and remain detail-oriented.
  7. Good judgment and innovative thinking.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  10. Physical ability to bend, push, pull, and navigate stairs.
  11. PC skills (Word, Excel, email/web) are an asset.
  12. Previous sales experience is an asset.
Education & Experience:
  1. High School Diploma or 5 years of relevant work experience.
  2. Experience renting apartments and assisting tenants.
  3. Experience in sales or a related field.
  4. Knowledge of applicable legislation regarding residential tenancies is an asset.
