Job description

We’re growing! And looking to welcome a detailed-oriented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as our Resident Manager in Bedford, NS!

This full time, live-in position is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in property management!

What you’ll be doing:
  1. Handling tenant relations and office administration for the building, including rent collecting, expense management, and planning tenant events.
  2. Providing exceptional customer service to our current and future tenants by responding to inquiries and showing units.
  3. Regular cleaning of building common areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and cleaning of all halls, air vents, light fixtures, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, landings, entrance, elevators, laundry room (wipe down all laundry equipment and clean out vents) and office area.
  4. Contributing to operational excellence through tasks being completed within Skyline standards, and in line with all applicable provincial legislation including Occupational Health and Safety Act, Residential Tenancies Act, and the Human Rights Code.
What we look for:
  1. Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  2. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively.
  3. Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  4. Exceptional cleaning skills.
  5. General understanding of plumbing, electrical and carpentry an asset.
  6. Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, push and pull as well as go up and down stairs.
  7. Five (5) years related work experience.
  8. PC skills are required (Word, Excel, e-mail, etc.).
  9. Previous experience in property management, renting apartments, and/or interacting with tenants is required.
  10. Knowledge of applicable legislation respecting residential tenancies and the rights and obligations of Landlords and Tenants an asset.
