Seasons Retirement Communities in High River, AB is seeking a Health and Wellness Manager to coordinate the highest standard of care services provided by the care team and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and their families.

You will oversee and support care staff, manage administrative tasks, and act as an ambassador of the home while upholding Seasons’ vision and values.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse and current registration with the College of Nurses
  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Medication Administration training
  • Current Safe Food Handler’s Certification (Applicable to Alberta applicants only)
  • Class G/Class 5 driver’s license with clear driver’s abstract

Responsibilities

  • Providing initial assessments of residents moving into a Seasons home and following up on health changes
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle and ensure person-centered care
  • Communicating with families, physicians and external community healthcare agencies
  • Ensure compliance with resident assessments/service plans and relevant regulations
  • Administrative duties including recruitment, hiring, orientation and training, scheduling and payroll
  • Follow risk management policies through audits and inspections
  • All other duties as assigned

We’re looking for a Health and Wellness Manager. This role will coordinate the highest standard of care services provided by the care teamat Seasons and will assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment forresidents, their families’ and other staff in accordance with Seasons vision,mission and values. The Health and Wellness Manager will oversee and support the care team members, complete administrative tasks and be an ambassador of the home ensuring relationships with community partners.

What You Will Do:
  • Providing initial assessments of residents moving into a Seasons home and following up on residents throughout the transition and as health care changes occur
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle for Seasons residents by embracing each resident as an individual and ensure residents receive person-centered care
  • Communicating with families, physicians and external community healthcare agencies
  • Ensuring compliance with Resident Assessments/Service Plans (EHR) Electonic Health Records (EHR) , Seasons specific policies and procedures, and Provincial Health Authority regulations
  • Administrative duties including recruitment, hiring, orientation and training, scheduling, payroll, care department budgets and overall management of all care staff; including empowering staff and providing guidance/support throughout their career at Seasons
  • Following risk management policies and procedures through monthly care related audits, Provincial Regulatory Authority inspections, and Public Health inspections
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications or SkillsRequired:
  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Medication Administration training
  • Current Safe Food Handler’s Certification (Applicable to Alberta applicants only)
  • Current Registered Nurse license and current registration with the College of Nurses
  • Provide compassion, empathy and understanding of Seasons’ residents
  • Communicate effectively following written and verbal instructions
  • Strong ability to organize and prioritize workload throughout scheduled shift
  • Knowledge of medical equipment is considered an asset (blood pressure machine, oximeter, glucometer- and/or the ability to learn these skills with training)
  • Class G/Class 5 driver’s license with clear driver’s abstract
