Toromont Cat is seeking a Resident Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment

This role involves working directly at customer sites in a Toromont Service truck, providing exceptional service and product expertise to ensure timely repairs with the highest integrity.

Note: This position primarily covers the region between Kenora and Dryden, and Fort Frances.

As a Resident Field Service Technician, YOU will experience:

In a typical day, YOU will:
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude to complete tasks efficiently and correctly
  • Maintain safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors, supporting Toromont’s Health and Safety Culture
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using Caterpillar testing equipment and technical skills
  • Ensure quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within established time standards
  • Build excellent communication and trusted relationships with customers through regular on-site visits
Must-haves for this role:
  • Post-secondary education in heavy equipment, truck and coach, diesel mechanics, or related fields
  • At least 3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and service, both in-shop and in-field
  • A valid Driver’s Licence (DZ Licence preferred)
