Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, and plate meals that delight residents while adhering to menu guidelines and safety standards. You will help maintain clean, sanitary kitchen areas and ensure timely service in a welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates have prior cooking experience in food services, hold a Food Handler certification, and work well in a collaborative team, communicating effectively with residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in food services.
• Food Handler certification or equivalent.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
• Effective interaction and communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and plate meals according to Chartwell menu guidelines.
• Comply with public health regulations and safe food handling standards.
• Maintain sanitation of food prep areas and equipment.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time and at the correct temperature.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies.
